Schism Tracker, almost perfect

The developers of Schism Tracker are doing a very great job! Last time I could test a CVS build, it couldn't load most of the XM files properly, browsing samples was almost impossible, there was no good support for instruments… and now everything is fixed!!

They also have added suport for resizing the window (they do not control the aspect ratio so you can make the fonts as wide as you want… it's funny!), and even more: now you can write a WAV output directly from Schism Tracker.

There are still some bugs here and there but this is very very usable right now. Thanks once again to the developers :-)

For writing to WAV you need to have a CVS version (I downloaded it from there, in the address which I said before).
Then, once you have your song loaded and ready to be exported to WAV, go to the File menu and select "Save As". On the right you'll see a column with options refering to the file type: S3M, IT, … and WAV! Click on WAV and write a proper name for your exported file. Just as you would do for any IT song.
The Schism maintainer (mrs. brisby) has warned to not to click or touch the program while it's outputting the WAV, as he said it's still in a "very delicate" state. We better follow his directions :-)
I hope this has been useful! If not, try to submit a bug or something on the schism bugs list.
See u!

You came late to the party
