"Malone dies" (Samuel Beckett, 1951)

After I re-read Molloy this year, I decided to embark on reading the other two books of the trilogy: Malone dies, and The unnamable.

This is different from Molloy. There is some sort of continuity, some characters seem to be there as well, or so it seems. They could just be the names of the characters, but not them. Lots of disjointed stories, and stories within stories. Again a crippled man who treasures ridiculous objects - but doesn't it make sense when you're dispossessed of everything else?

The ending is really poignant.

Not my favourite book I think, but interesting to look into if you liked Molloy.
