So tracking is not so dead, isn't it?

Recently I found an article about tracking on a non-specialized-on-demoscene medium, kuro5hin. The article is called A Tutorial on Cutting Up a Breakbeat Using a Tracker, and it's very focused in something that I love from tracking techniques/styles, the sample offset effect. I really miss this effect on advanced programs like reason! (I still haven't found an easy way of doing it on reason...)

I think it's worth the read if you want to know a bit how it works. Nothing really special is told there, if you are a relatively skilled musician, though. But it's good to see trackers are alive and kicking ;)
