The food lab


  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 onion peeled, sliced, chopped
  • 500 g beef mince
  • 2 x 400 chopped tomatoes
  • 350 gr frozen spinach

In a large frying pan heat 1 teaspoon olive oil, add onion, soften for 5 minutes

In a large bowl combine beef mince with 1/2 cooked onion, mix well Shape into ~ 20 meatballs

Back to the frying pan, heat remaining oil, fry in batches until browned Remove from pan

Now add remaining onion + chopped tomatoes + spinach Cover + simmer 5 minutes Remove lid, add meatballs, cook 10+ minutes until "piping hot"

Serve with rice, garnish with parsley
